Because Our Dogs Deserve the Best

As many of you know, I recently closed a massive chapter of my life, 22 years as a flight attendant. I grew up with my colleagues, watched their families grow, and witnessed every CEO of that company come and go. My last flight was from Dublin to Calgary, on the exact date of my hire 22 years ago. Call it manifestation, kismet, or just really poetic scheduling.

Now, as I emBARK on my newest adventure full-time dog photography (and yes, I still bring snacks for my passengers, they are just in the form of dehydrated meats now) plus the fact that September is my birthday month and fall is my favorite season, and honestly, I couldn’t think of a better time to celebrate.

Celebrating Our Dogs Beyond Birthdays

That got me thinking: what do you do to celebrate your dog?

We humans love to throw parties for everything; births, birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, even “we survived Monday” wine nights. But our dogs? They celebrate every day just by waking up and loving us like it’s the best day ever. And I think that deserves recognition.

Creative Ways to Celebrate Life With Your Dog

Dogs can celebrate and be celebrated in so many ways:

• A cake smash on their birthday (because who doesn’t love a puppy nose covered in frosting)
  
• Starring in your wedding or engagement photos
  
• A favorite trail hike with extra sniffs
  
• A playdate with their best fur friends
  
• Even a cozy “pup spa day” at home
  

I want to encourage you to celebrate the wins, the firsts, the silly little victories like finally catching that rogue tennis ball mid-air, learning how to finally sit and stay, or just celebrating the fact that they exist and love you unconditionally.

That’s why I created my Bubbles & Bark Sessions. It’s a chance to toast the everyday magic with your pup. We’ll pop some prosecco (for you), some paw-secco (for them), and snack on a bark-uterie board together (yes, really). It’s lighthearted, joyful, and oh-so Emily in Paris-esque.

I also offer special sessions just for our tender, senior pups. We slow things down, soak up the simple joys, and maybe even steal a few extra belly rubs along the way. These sessions are all about honoring your beloved companion’s golden years, capturing their one-of-a-kind spirit, and celebrating the incredible bond you share.

I know how precious time is when our senior pups are in the later chapters of life. That’s why I offer priority scheduling for dogs approaching their rainbow bridge or navigating a terminal diagnosis — so you don’t have to wait to capture these meaningful, heart-melting moments.
