...and he wants to spend my money.
Alberta summers are short. Rocky Mountain summers are shorter. There's a window, maybe eight weeks where the smoke hasn't rolled in, the trails are dry, and your dog is at full chaos goblin capacity in the best possible light. You know the window. You've watched it close before you got around to doing anything about it.
Stanley is turning seven on June 26. He has decided the best way to celebrate is to give away dog photography sessions, because he loves nothing more than spending his mom's money on things that actually matter.
One grand prize. One runner-up. A birthday gift for another twenty five people.
Your dog, this summer, on your wall. That's the whole idea.
Entries open June 10th. Giveaway closes June 20th.
Stanley announces the winners on June 26th.

By entering, you're taking the first step toward celebrating your dog's story with artwork that's every bit as special as they are. Whether your best friend is a goofy chaos gremlin, a distinguished senior, or somewhere delightfully in between, we'd love to meet them.
Once entries close, selected applicants will be contacted by email and text message.
If you're selected, you'll be invited to schedule a call where you get to brag on your dog, their personality, the things that make you laugh, and the moments you never want to forget.
Your portrait experience is complimentary.
To reserve your session date, a $100 good faith booking deposit is required. This simply helps ensure that every selected session goes to someone who is genuinely excited to attend.
The best part? It's not an extra fee.
Your deposit can be applied toward any artwork you choose to purchase, or fully refunded if you decide to use your included artwork credit and not purchase anything further.
Your dog's comfort and happiness always come first. There's no pressure for perfect behaviour, no expectation to sit still for hours, and no need to stress if your dog is a little quirky. Honestly, those quirks are usually our favourite part.
After your session, we'll schedule your reveal and ordering appointment.
This is when you'll see your photographs for the very first time and relive all the moments that made your dog, well, your dog.
The Grand prize winner will be able to choose their artwork at their ordering appointment. Other winners will be able to use artwork credit toward wall art, albums, portrait collections, digital collections, or other artwork options. There is no minimum spend and absolutely no obligation to purchase anything further. Just beautiful photographs, a memorable experience, and the chance to celebrate the dog who makes your world a whole lot brighter. See example pricing here.
Clients happily spend between $1,000 and $2,500 on their experiences, sometimes more, sometimes less. There is no minimum spend and no obligation to purchase beyond what you love. I am a full-service studio. That means I guide every decision from the session to your wall. You do not go home with a USB and a prayer. You go home with art.
If I am not your person, I will tell you who is. No pressure, no weirdness, no guilt-booking. You are trusting someone with the most important relationship in your life. That is not a thing I take casually.
My Dog Won't Sit Still...
It’s okay! I promise you that I successfully photograph hyper, untrained dogs ALL the time. I guarantee that we’ll be able to create images that you love, or I’ll refund your reservation fee.
Here’s a secret: most of the dogs you see on my website were wearing leashes during our session. After some delicate Photoshop work… presto chango… suddenly you see before you a naked dog!
We can even use a special long line to safely create action shots if your dog can’t be off leash. And with my arsenal of duck calls and squeakers, I know how to get your pup’s attention. You let me know what kind of images you love, and I’ll bring the tools and the know-how to create them for you!
What if I love my dog, but I’m not sure I’ll love the images?
You only ever buy what you genuinely love.
You’ll see your full gallery first, and I’ll guide you through choosing the images that actually feel like your dog and your connection. Nothing is rushed, nothing is pushed, and you’re never left guessing.
I offer a satisfaction guarantee, which means if it doesn’t feel right, we don’t force it. We either refine the selection together or we go back and create something that does.
My job isn’t just to take the photos. It’s to make sure you walk away with images that feel like they belong to your story, not just your session.
My dog is reactive or nervous around new people and/or places...
I get it. The world is a lot sometimes. We'll pick a location that suits your dog's comfort level, somewhere quiet, low traffic, no surprises. There are also private off-leash parks where we’ll have a whole fenced park to ourselves.
We always follow your dog's lead, not mine.
Can I be in the photos? Do I have to be?
Yes to the first. No to the second, but please consider it.
The bond between you and your pup is the whole story. We're not trying for stiff, look-at-the-camera portraits. We're capturing the real stuff, the laughing, the cuddles, the moment your dog leans into you like you're the only person on earth.
If you're camera shy, I've got you. There are more ways to be in the photos than the traditional smiling-at-the-camera kind. Hands, profiles, the back of your head while your dog stares up at you. You’ll barely notice I'm there. And the photos people end up loving most usually aren't about how they look, they're about how their babies look at them lovingly.
Can I bring extra dogs or humans to our session?
Anyone from the household is welcome. If you've got a multi-dog household, everyone belongs in the photos.
Just try bring one human per dog so we're not outnumbered.
What about harnesses, gentle leaders or muzzles, can those be edited out?
While Photoshop is great, it’s not magic… yet. These items are tough to remove cleanly, so the goal is to get it right in camera. Dress to impress.
Bring a flat collar for the session and save the gear for the walk in. If you have collars or leashes you want in the final images because they’re meaningful to you, that’s great.
Leashes, flat collars, and martingale collars are always removed at no extra charge.
Do you photograph pets other than dogs?
Fur, feathers, scales, and tails. I photograph them all! While the majority of my clients are of the canine variety, if it has a heartbeat and someone loves it, I'll photograph it.
