Big Hearts, Big Impact

I’m sitting here feeling like my heart grew three sizes, Grinch style, after getting the final numbers from this month’s rescue dog fundraising. I knew we did well, but I didn’t realize just how much this community showed up for this Calgary dog photographer and our local rescues until today.
In the last few weeks alone, we raised fifteen hundred dollars for Boxer Rescue Canada through the Christmas fundraiser. The Sleep Rover daycare add on sessions brought in another three hundred forHeaven Can Wait Animal Rescue Foundation, and on Saturday the thirteenth, I’ll be popping up with a photobooth for BARCS at Four Dogs Taproom to raise even more funds.

Three different rescues supported in one month. Three different groups of dogs who get a little more help because this community showed up big. Thank you. Really. Thank. You!
Remember you can also swing by Four Dogs Taproom to drop off blankets for the Cozy Blanket Winter Tour with Andrew Knapp, an initiative helping our unhomed neighbours stay warm this winter. It’s a simple way to make a real impact, and the dogs are always welcome to come supervise your donation.

Moments like this remind me why animal advocacy and rescue is one of my core values. My business gives me the chance to turn compassion, and my passion into real impact, and this month proved that when people come together for dogs, magic happens. The kind of magic that buys food, meds, vet care, safety, and time for dogs who deserve another new beginning.
To every person who booked, donated, shared, volunteered, or cheered us on… thank you. You helped make this month incredibly meaningful.

And we’re not done yet. It’s Giving Tuesday, which means it’s the perfect time to send a little love (and a donation) to your favourite Calgary rescues. Your support makes a difference, and yes… it also helps with those 2025 tax breaks. Win win.
